Bumper – Hi Interiors

For Hi Interiors, a company specialized in luxury technological beds sold worldwide, I designed and developed the Bumper, a C-shaped side accessory that fits onto the original Hi-Can bed. The project was created as a custom solution for a client who reported potential damage to the lateral sides of the bed, while maintaining an aesthetic consistent with the design and luxury of the original product.

Materials, colors, and finishes

The work included a detailed research phase on materials, colors, and finishes, ensuring that the Bumper perfectly integrated with the bed, respecting the brand’s aesthetic identity and perceived quality.

Production

Production was handled by Caracol, which manufactured the Bumper using large-format LFAM 3D printing, while additional components, such as the cushions placed on top of the main C-structure, were designed and 3D printed in SLS by the Puntozero team. I designed PA-carbon adapters, also 3D printed, were created to allow flexibility and ease of installation once shipped to the United States and mounted on the client’s bed.

Summary :

The project exemplifies how custom design, advanced 3D modeling, and attention to aesthetic details can converge to create a functional, high-quality accessory perfectly integrated into a luxury product.
