Design and Supply of Custom Aesthetic Walls
Design, engineering, and supply of fully customized aesthetic and architectural wall elements
Year :
2025
Industry :
Product Design
Client :
CoFactory

Context and Capabilities
This project demonstrates expertise in the design, engineering, and supply of fully customized aesthetic and architectural wall elements. The process integrates high-level design concepts with advanced digital manufacturing to deliver unique, large-scale installations for commercial and R&D spaces.

Technological Core and Innovation
The core of the work lies in leveraging a hybrid production chain to overcome traditional design limitations:
Advanced Manufacturing Integration: Utilizing both 3D Printing (Additive Manufacturing) and 5-Axis CNC Milling (Subtractive Manufacturing). This flexibility ensures the optimal choice of technique for realizing complex geometries, achieving high precision, and managing aesthetic finishes.
Versatile Material Range: Expertise in working with a variety of polymers (including translucent materials) and high-density modeling foams to meet diverse structural and visual requirements.
Scalability: Experience in designing and engineering custom walls for variable dimensions and environments, from focused installations to large architectural features.

Project Example (Designtech Cofactory)
As an example, work was completed for the Designtech Cofactory in Milan, involving the design and supply of bespoke wall features for two laboratory spaces. This specific installation highlighted the ability to combine complex forms and advanced materials to create a distinct, innovative character for an R&D environment.
Demonstrated Expertise
End-to-End Customization: Managing the entire lifecycle from conceptual 3D modeling and engineering through to final supply.
Technological Fluency: Profound technical knowledge of high-end digital fabrication processes (3D Printing and CNC 5-Axis).
Aesthetic Impact: Translating design vision into tangible structures that enhance the architectural character and purpose of the space.
