Materially
For over twenty years, Materially has been the reference point in Italy for materials innovation, focusing on sustainability and design-driven applications.
For them, I had the opportunity to design and realize the permanent Materioteca (Materials Library) at the Designtech Cofactory in Milan, rethinking the traditional concept of material exhibition.

Materials Library
The panels, supplied by the client, were integrated into a system of vertical tubes, which gives the structure a distinctive and contemporary aesthetic, a departure from the usual simple and static solutions. To support them, I modeled and designed specific attachments, 3D printed with FDM technology, which fasten to both the tubes and the panels, creating an effect of suspension in the air.

Design
The entire system was designed with a modular and dynamic approach: the panels can be moved horizontally along the tubes and staggered in height, making the Materioteca easily adaptable and more functional. This gives the project great flexibility and scalability, allowing it to grow and change over time.
Summary
Thanks to this design, the Materi library is not just an archive of samples, but becomes an installation with a contemporary and minimal character, where the visual lightness of the suspended panels and the vibrancy of the selected colors contribute to creating a high-impact aesthetic and functional experience.
