Prototyping

For Qeeboo, the contemporary design brand led by Stefano Giovannoni, I managed the entire prototyping phase of the Tronco furniture piece. Starting from the designer’s concept, I developed prototypes in different scales, up to the final full-size version.

3D Print

As part of the process, I also made targeted adjustments to the 3D model, optimizing it for large-scale 3D printing and ensuring the best production outcome.

The prototypes were produced using FDM 3D printing technology, with Ultra Natural PLA and Roboze machines, achieving strength, quality, and fidelity to the original design.

Challenge

The work included testing form, proportions, and materials, with iterative refinements to guarantee both aesthetic and functional consistency. This phase proved essential to validate feasibility and performance, paving the way for industrial production.

Summary

The project highlights how advanced prototyping, supported by precise digital model adjustments, innovative materials, and cutting-edge 3D printing technologies, can transform a creative vision into a tangible object ready for the market.
